The University of Greifswald’s Extended Senate had already elected Dr. Juliane Huwe as the University of Greifswald’s Registrar, Head of Administration and Finance, in a secret ballot on 18 October 2023. She is the first female Registrar since the university was founded in 1456. Dr. Huwe is the head of the university’s administration.
About Dr. Juliane Huwe
Dr. Juliane Huwe studied Law at the University of Greifswald. Following completion of her 1st State Examination, she worked as a teaching and research assistant at the Chair of Criminal Law: Commercial Criminal Law and Criminal Tax Law and completed her doctorate in Law in 2005. After successfully finishing her trainee period and passing the 2nd State Examination, she worked in various positions in the administration of the University of Greifswald from 2008. Dr. Huwe has been Head of the Human Resources and Finances Division since 2018. She also held the position of Acting Registrar from 2018 to March 2021.
