Data Protection Officer (excluding University Medicine)

The Data Protection Officer is responsible for any questions regarding the careful handling of personal data at the University (excluding University Medicine Greifswald).

The Officer’s most important tasks include, in particular

• making sure that data protection regulations are observed,

• advising, supervising and checking projects in which data protection is relevant,

• introducing suitable measures to familiarise members of staff responsible for processing personal data with data protection regulations,

• providing advice related to the impact assessment of data protection and monitoring of the implementation of the regulations.

The Data Protection Officer is independent and autonomous in the realisation of the assigned tasks.
