Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R)

By awarding the University of Greifswald with the quality seal ‘HR Excellence in Research’ in 2017, the European Commission honoured the University of Greifswald’s attempts to provide researchers with good working conditions and a stimulating work environment. The quality seal confirms that the University of Greifswald fulfils international standards when it comes to the recruitment procedure, working conditions and social security, as well as the training of early-career researchers. These standards have been set out in the European Charta for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the recruitment of researchers.

The University of Greifswald applied successfully for the seal in a laborious and multi-stage process involving all of the relevant member groups, an extensive self-evaluation and the creation of a detailed plan of action.
